Thematic Axes

  1. Observatory of Education, Open Science, and Teacher Training
    Coordination: Ilemar Christina Lansoni Wey Berti, Quenizia Vieira Lopes, Silvia Maria Rodrigues, Lígia Patrícia Torino e Nestor Cortez Saavedra Filho

 

This thematic axis aims to discuss the role of education observatories as spaces for the production, systematization, and dissemination of data and knowledge focused on monitoring public policies, teacher training, and improving the quality of education. This axis welcomes research and experiences that engage with the principles of open science, transparency, interinstitutional collaboration, and accessibility to scientific knowledge. Submissions that explore participatory methodologies, evidence-based teacher training practices, collaborations between universities and schools, as well as the use of technological platforms in building knowledge networks and educational monitoring, are especially encouraged.

 

2. Curriculum, Teacher Training, and Pedagogical Practices

Coordination: Adriana Regina de Jesus Santos, Márcia Adriana de Faria Ribeiro, Júnior Peres de Araújo, Martinho Gilson Cardoso Chíngulo, Ana Letícia Ferreira e Ronald Rosa 

 

This axis aims to bring together investigations, experiences, and theoretical and methodological reflections that address the relationships between curriculum, teacher education, and pedagogical practices across different levels and modalities of education. Contributions discussing public policies on teacher training, curricular proposals, professional knowledge, formative trajectories, as well as the articulation between theory and practice in school and university contexts, are welcome. The goal is to foster dialogue among researchers, educators, and students around the contemporary challenges in education, contributing to the strengthening of pedagogical practices committed to equity, emancipation, and social justice.

 

3.  School Management, Teacher Work, and Professional Conditions

Coordination: Rosana de Sousa Pereira Lopes, Marci Batistão, Soraia Kfouri Salerno e Angélica Lyra de Araújo

 

 This axis aims to gather research, experiences, and theoretical and methodological reflections addressing school management, teacher labor, and the professional conditions in which educators operate. Contributions discussing educational policies, institutional management, labor rights, working conditions, and the relationship between school administration and teaching practice are welcome. The goal is to foster dialogue among researchers, educators, and students about the challenges faced by education professionals today, contributing to the improvement of working environments and the strengthening of teaching as a socially and politically committed profession

 

4. Education, Inclusion, and Cultural Diversity

Coordination: Letícia Bassetto Secorum, Gislaine Franco de Moura, Bruna Ramos Marinho e Elaine Cristina Mateus Santos

 

This axis aims to welcome studies, experiences, and reflections that critically examine educational processes in light of inclusion and the valorization of cultural diversity. Topics such as ethnic-racial relations, Indigenous and Quilombola education, inclusion of people with disabilities, linguistic rights, and cultural identities in both formal and non-formal educational contexts will be discussed. The axis seeks to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, focusing on pedagogical practices, public policies, and curricula that promote anti-discriminatory, equitable education sensitive to the singularities of individuals.

 

5. Human Rights Education, Gender, and Sexuality

Coordination: Luiz Gustavo Tiroli, João Fernando Araújo, Dayenne Karoline Chimiti Pelegrini

 

This axis aims to bring together research, experiences, and reflections addressing educational processes in Human Rights from a critical, intersectional perspective grounded in the Latin American reality. Contributions that problematize the relationships between education, gender, and sexuality will be welcomed, considering the impacts of social, cultural, and historical inequalities affecting individuals in different educational contexts. The axis encourages the analysis of public policies, pedagogical practices, and curricula that promote the confrontation of gender-based violence, LGBTphobia, and other forms of oppression, seeking to affirm rights, diversity, and social justice. It is expected to foster dialogue among researchers, educators, and social movements, valuing approaches that articulate theory and practice and contribute to the construction of more democratic, inclusive educational spaces committed to social transformation and the guarantee of human rights.

 

6. Education and Technologies

Coordination: Simone Steffan Retkva, Adriano da Silva, Mônica Trindade Miranda e Fabiane Freire França

 

This axis aims to discuss the interrelations between education and technologies, considering the impacts of technological innovations on teaching and learning processes, teacher education, and educational management. Contributions are expected to address topics ranging from the use of digital resources in the classroom to the pedagogical, ethical, and social implications of information and communication technologies (ICT) in education. The axis also welcomes debates on hybrid education, remote teaching, digital platforms, artificial intelligence, and digital culture, valuing critical, inclusive, and transformative approaches that contribute to the development of innovative educational practices committed to equity.
